For It Is Time For Judgment to Begin at the Household of God Why Is Homosexuality Bad in Itself? |
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. (6) Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun.
Ps 78:39 For he remembered that they [were but] flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.
Romans 9:11 (for the children not yet being born, nor having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him who calls),
Luke 16:19-31 "There was a certain rich man
who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every
day. (20) "But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores,
who was laid at his gate, (21) "desiring to be fed with the crumbs
which fell from the rich man’s table. Moreover the dogs came and licked
his sores. (22) "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the
angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. (23)
"And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham
afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
(24) "Then he cried and said,
‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the
tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in
this flame.’ (25) "But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your
lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil
things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. (26) ‘And
besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so
that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from
there pass to us.’
(27) "Then he said, ‘I beg you therefore, father, that you would send
him to my father’s house, (28) ‘for I have five brothers, that he may
testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’ (29)
"Abraham said to him, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear
them.’ (30) "And he said, ‘No, father Abraham; but if one goes to them
from the dead, they will repent.’ (31) "But he said to him, ‘If they do
not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though
one rise from the dead.’"
Job 14:1-6 "Man who is born of woman Is of few days and full of trouble. (2) He comes forth like a flower and fades away; He flees like a shadow and does not continue. (3) And do You open Your eyes on such a one, And bring me to judgment with Yourself? (4) Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? No one! (5) Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. (6) Look away from him that he may rest, Till like a hired man he finishes his day.
Job 14:7-12 "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. (8) Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, (9) Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant. (10) But man dies and is laid away; Indeed he breathes his last And where is he? (11) As water disappears from the sea, And a river becomes parched and dries up, (12) So man lies down and does not rise. Till the heavens are no more, They will not awake Nor be roused from their sleep.
Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, (2) has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. (14) And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22 ‘But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’ (21) "And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’ — (22) "when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.
Deuteronomy 13:1-3 "If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, and he gives you a sign or a wonder, (2) "and the sign or the wonder comes to pass, of which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods’ which you have not known and let us serve them,’ (3) "you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams, for the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Joshua 23:14 And, behold, this day I [am] going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, [and] not one thing hath failed thereof.
Isa 48:3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did [them] suddenly, and they came to pass.
1Sam 18:10 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as at other times: and [there was] a javelin in Saul's hand.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if [it were] possible, even the elect.
Acts 16:16-18 Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. (17) This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation." (18) And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, "I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her." And he came out that very hour.
1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (2) By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, (3) and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. (4) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (5) They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. (6) We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 Do not quench the Spirit. (20) Do not despise prophecies. (21) Test all things; hold fast what is good.
3) CHANNELING, DIVINATION, WITCHCRAFT -
1Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Lev 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar
spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the
LORD your God.
Leviticus 20:6 'And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.
Leviticus 20:27 'A man or a woman who is a medium, or who has familiar spirits, shall surely be put to death; they shall stone them with stones. Their blood shall be upon them.'
Deuteronomy 18:10-14 10 There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer 11 or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, 12 for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. 13 You shall be blameless before the Lord your God, 14 for these nations, which you are about to dispossess, listen to fortune-tellers and to diviners. But as for you, the Lord your God has not allowed you to do this.
2 Kings 21:2-7 And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, according to the abominations of the nations whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. (3) For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; he raised up altars for Baal, and made a wooden image, as Ahab king of Israel had done; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. (4) He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put My name." (5) And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. (6) Also he made his son pass through the fire, practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft, and consulted spiritists and mediums. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger. (7) He even set a carved image of Asherah that he had made, in the house of which the LORD had said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put My name forever;
Isa 2:6 Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and [are] soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
Isaiah 8:19-20 And when they say to you, "Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter," should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? (20) To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Deuteronomy 5:8-9 ‘You shall not make for
yourself a carved image any likeness of anything that is in heaven
above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under
the earth; (9) you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I,
the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those
who hate Me,
Exodus 20:23 You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves.
Exodus 34:17 "You shall make no molded gods for yourselves.
Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.
Deut 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all
forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and
worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely
perish.
John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Isaiah 42:8 I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.
Isaiah 44:6-8 "Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: 'I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (7) And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, Since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, Let them show these to them. (8) Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.' "
Deuteronomy 12:1-4 "These are the statutes and judgments which you shall be careful to observe in the land which the LORD God of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. (2) You shall utterly destroy all the places where the nations which you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. (3) And you shall destroy their altars, break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire; you shall cut down the carved images of their gods and destroy their names from that place. (4) You shall not worship the LORD your God with such things.
Deuteronomy 12:28-32 Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God. (29) "When the LORD your God cuts off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you displace them and dwell in their land, (30) take heed to yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire after their gods, saying, 'How did these nations serve their gods? I also will do likewise.' (31) You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way; for every abomination to the LORD which He hates they have done to their gods; for they burn even their sons and daughters in the fire to their gods. (32) "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.
Deuteronomy 29:16-21 (for you know that we
dwelt in the land of Egypt and that we came through the nations which
you passed by, (17) and you saw their abominations and their idols
which were among them wood and stone and silver and gold); (18) "so
that there may not be among you man or woman or family or tribe, whose
heart turns away today from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods
of these nations, and that there may not be among you a root bearing
bitterness or wormwood; (19) "and so it may not happen, when he hears
the words of this curse, that he blesses himself in his heart, saying,
‘I shall have peace, even though I follow the dictates of my heart’ —as
though the drunkard could be included with the sober.
(20) "The
LORD would not spare him; for then the anger of the LORD and His
jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written
in this book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name
from under heaven. (21) "And the LORD would separate him from all the
tribes of Israel for adversity, according to all the curses of the
covenant that are written in this Book of the Law,
Colossians 2:18 Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
Revelation 22:8-9 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. (9) Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
Psalms 81:8-16 "Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to Me! (9) There shall be no foreign god among you; Nor shall you worship any foreign god. (10) I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. (11) "But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. (12) So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels. (13) "Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways! (14) I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn My hand against their adversaries. (15) The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever. (16) He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."
Jeremiah 10:1-25 Hear the word which the
LORD speaks to you, O house of Israel. (2) Thus says the LORD: "Do not
learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of
heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. (3) For the customs of
the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work
of the hands of the workman, with the ax. (4) They decorate it with
silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will
not topple. (5) They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot
speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do
not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any
good."
(6) Inasmuch as there is none like You, O LORD (You are
great, and Your name is great in might), (7) Who would not fear You, O
King of the nations? For this is Your rightful due. For among all the
wise men of the nations, And in all their kingdoms, There is none like
You. (8) But they are altogether dull-hearted and foolish; A wooden
idol is a worthless doctrine. (9) Silver is beaten into plates; It is
brought from Tarshish, And gold from Uphaz, The work of the craftsman
And of the hands of the metalsmith; Blue and purple are their clothing;
They are all the work of skillful men. (10) But the LORD is the true
God; He is the living God and the everlasting King. At His wrath the
earth will tremble, And the nations will not be able to endure His
indignation.
(11) Thus you shall say to them: "The gods that have not made the
heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under these
heavens." (12) He has made the earth by His power, He has established
the world by His wisdom, And has stretched out the heavens at His
discretion. (13) When He utters His voice, There is a multitude of
waters in the heavens: "And He causes the vapors to ascend from the
ends of the earth. He makes lightning for the rain, He brings the wind
out of His treasuries."
(14) Everyone is dull-hearted, without knowledge; Every metalsmith is
put to shame by an image; For his molded image is falsehood, And there
is no breath in them. (15) They are futile, a work of errors; In the
time of their punishment they shall perish. (16) The Portion of Jacob
is not like them, For He is the Maker of all things, And Israel is the
tribe of His inheritance; The LORD of hosts is His name.
(17) Gather up your wares from the land, O inhabitant of the fortress!
(18) For thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will throw out at this time The
inhabitants of the land, And will distress them, That they may find it
so."
(19) Woe is me for my hurt! My wound is severe. But I say, "Truly this
is an infirmity, And I must bear it." (20) My tent is plundered, And
all my cords are broken; My children have gone from me, And they are no
more. There is no one to pitch my tent anymore, Or set up my curtains.
(21) For the shepherds have become dull-hearted, And have not sought
the LORD; Therefore they shall not prosper, And all their flocks shall
be scattered. (22) Behold, the noise of the report has come, And a
great commotion out of the north country, To make the cities of Judah
desolate, a den of jackals.
(23) O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man
who walks to direct his own steps. (24) O LORD, correct me, but with
justice; Not in Your anger, lest You bring me to nothing. (25) Pour out
Your fury on the Gentiles, who do not know You, And on the families who
do not call on Your name; For they have eaten up Jacob, Devoured him
and consumed him, And made his dwelling place desolate.
Ezekiel 14:1-11 Now some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat before me. (2) And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, (3) "Son of man, these men have set up their idols in their hearts, and put before them that which causes them to stumble into iniquity. Should I let Myself be inquired of at all by them? (4) "Therefore speak to them, and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols, (5) that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols." ' (6) "Therefore say to the house of Israel, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Repent, turn away from your idols, and turn your faces away from all your abominations. (7) For anyone of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who dwell in Israel, who separates himself from Me and sets up his idols in his heart and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, then comes to a prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I the LORD will answer him by Myself. (8) I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of My people. Then you shall know that I am the LORD. (9) "And if the prophet is induced to speak anything, I the LORD have induced that prophet, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel. (10) And they shall bear their iniquity; the punishment of the prophet shall be the same as the punishment of the one who inquired, (11) that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me, nor be profaned anymore with all their transgressions, but that they may be My people and I may be their God," says the Lord GOD.' "
Micah 5:12-13 I will cut off sorceries from your hand, And you shall have no soothsayers. (13) Your carved images I will also cut off, And your sacred pillars from your midst; You shall no more worship the work of your hands;
Habakkuk 2:18 "What profit is the image, that its maker should carve it, The molded image, a teacher of lies, That the maker of its mold should trust in it, To make mute idols?
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (20) idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, (21) envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Revelation 22:14-15 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. (15) But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.
5) SATAN'S SIGNS & WONDERS - Look to salvation, not wonders - Luke 10: 20
Luke 10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, (10) and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (11) And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, (12) that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Ephesians 6:10-12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (11) Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
Isaiah 14:12-20 "How you are fallen from
heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the
ground, You who weakened the nations! (13) For you have said in your
heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the
stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the
farthest sides of the north; (14) I will ascend above the heights of
the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ (15) Yet you shall be
brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit. (16) "Those who
see you will gaze at you, And consider you, saying: ‘Is this the man
who made the earth tremble, Who shook kingdoms, (17) Who made the world
as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, Who did not open the house of
his prisoners?’
(18) "All the kings of the nations, All of them,
sleep in glory, Everyone in his own house; (19) But you are cast out of
your grave Like an abominable branch, Like the garment of those who are
slain, Thrust through with a sword, Who go down to the stones of the
pit, Like a corpse trodden underfoot. (20) You will not be joined with
them in burial, Because you have destroyed your land And slain your
people. The brood of evildoers shall never be named.
Ezekiel 28:11-17 Moreover the word of the
LORD came to me, saying, (12) "Son of man, take up a lamentation for
the king of Tyre, and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were
the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. (13) You
were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your
covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper,
Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your
timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.
(14) "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You
were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the
midst of fiery stones. (15) You were perfect in your ways from the day
you were created, Till iniquity was found in you.
(16) "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence
within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of
the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the
midst of the fiery stones. (17) "Your heart was lifted up because of
your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I
cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze
at you.
Deuteronomy 4:19 "And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.
Isaiah 47:10-15 "For you have trusted in your wickedness; You have said, 'No one sees me'; Your wisdom and your knowledge have warped you; And you have said in your heart, 'I am, and there is no one else besides me.' (11) Therefore evil shall come upon you; You shall not know from where it arises. And trouble shall fall upon you; You will not be able to put it off. And desolation shall come upon you suddenly, Which you shall not know. (12) "Stand now with your enchantments And the multitude of your sorceries, In which you have labored from your youth; Perhaps you will be able to profit, Perhaps you will prevail. (13) You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels; Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, And the monthly prognosticators Stand up and save you From what shall come upon you. (14) Behold, they shall be as stubble, The fire shall burn them; They shall not deliver themselves From the power of the flame; It shall not be a coal to be warmed by, Nor a fire to sit before! (15) Thus shall they be to you With whom you have labored, Your merchants from your youth; They shall wander each one to his quarter. No one shall save you.
2 Chronicles 33:3-6 For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. (4) He also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem shall My name be forever." (5) And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. (6) Also he caused his sons to pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom; he practiced soothsaying, used witchcraft and sorcery, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger.
Daniel 1:1-21 In the third year of the reign
of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to
Jerusalem and besieged it. (2) And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of
Judah into his hand, with some of the articles of the house of God,
which he carried into the land of Shinar to the house of his god; and
he brought the articles into the treasure house of his god.
(3)
Then the king instructed Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring
some of the children of Israel and some of the king’s descendants and
some of the nobles, (4) young men in whom there was no blemish, but
good-looking, gifted in all wisdom, possessing knowledge and quick to
understand, who had ability to serve in the king’s palace, and whom
they might teach the language and literature of the Chaldeans. (5) And
the king appointed for them a daily provision of the king’s delicacies
and of the wine which he drank, and three years of training for them,
so that at the end of that time they might serve before the king. (6)
Now from among those of the sons of Judah were Daniel, Hananiah,
Mishael, and Azariah. (7) To them the chief of the eunuchs gave names:
he gave Daniel the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to
Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abed-Nego.
(8) But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself
with the portion of the king’s delicacies, nor with the wine which he
drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might
not defile himself. (9) Now God had brought Daniel into the favor and
goodwill of the chief of the eunuchs. (10) And the chief of the eunuchs
said to Daniel, "I fear my lord the king, who has appointed your food
and drink. For why should he see your faces looking worse than the
young men who are your age? Then you would endanger my head before the
king."
(11) So Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had
set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, (12) "Please test your
servants for ten days, and let them give us vegetables to eat and water
to drink. (13) "Then let our appearance be examined before you, and the
appearance of the young men who eat the portion of the king’s
delicacies; and as you see fit, so deal with your servants." (14) So he
consented with them in this matter, and tested them ten days.
(15) And at the end of ten days their features appeared better and
fatter in flesh than all the young men who ate the portion of the
king’s delicacies. (16) Thus the steward took away their portion of
delicacies and the wine that they were to drink, and gave them
vegetables.
(17) As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in
all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions
and dreams.
(18) Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they
should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before
Nebuchadnezzar. (19) Then the king interviewed them, and among them all
none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore
they served before the king. (20) And in all matters of wisdom and
understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten
times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his
realm. (21) Thus Daniel continued until the first year of King Cyrus.
Jeremiah 8:1-3 "At that time," says the LORD, "they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of its princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves. (2) "They shall spread them before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved and which they have served and after which they have walked, which they have sought and which they have worshiped. They shall not be gathered nor buried; they shall be like refuse on the face of the earth. (3) "Then death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of those who remain of this evil family, who remain in all the places where I have driven them," says the LORD of hosts.
Genesis 3:1-24 Now the serpent was more
cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he
said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every
tree of the garden’?"
(2) And the woman said to the serpent, "We
may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; (3) "but of the fruit of
the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall
not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’"
(4) Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. (5)
"For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
(6) So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was
pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took
of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he
ate. (7) Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that
they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves
coverings.
(8) And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in
the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the
presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
(9) Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
(10) So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid
because I was naked; and I hid myself."
(11) And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten
from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?" (12)
Then the man said, "The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me
of the tree, and I ate." (13) And the LORD God said to the woman, "What
is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I
ate."
(14) So the LORD God said to the serpent: "Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the
field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days
of your life. (15) And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And
between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you
shall bruise His heel."
(16) To the woman He said: "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and
your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire
shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you."
(17) Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your
wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,
‘You shall not eat of it’: "Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil
you shall eat of it All the days of your life. (18) Both thorns and
thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of
the field. (19) In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you
return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return."
(20) And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living.
(21) Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
(22) Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of
Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take
also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever" (23) therefore the
LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from
which he was taken. (24) So He drove out the man; and He placed
cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which
turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Ezekiel 28:1-9 The word of the LORD came to
me again, saying, (2) "Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, ‘Thus
says the Lord GOD: "Because your heart is lifted up, And you say, ‘I am
a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,’ Yet you
are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a
god (3) (Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can
be hidden from you! (4) With your wisdom and your understanding You
have gained riches for yourself, And gathered gold and silver into your
treasuries; (5) By your great wisdom in trade you have increased your
riches, And your heart is lifted up because of your riches),"
(6)
‘Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have set your heart as
the heart of a god, (7) Behold, therefore, I will bring strangers
against you, The most terrible of the nations; And they shall draw
their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, And defile your
splendor. (8) They shall throw you down into the Pit, And you shall die
the death of the slain In the midst of the seas.
(9) "Will you still say before him who slays you, ‘I am a god’? But you
shall be a man, and not a god, In the hand of him who slays you.

(8) Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’"

Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, (10) nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. (11) And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Romans 1:24-27 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, (25) who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. (26) For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. (27) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
Leviticus 18:1-30 Then the LORD spoke to

of the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you, you shall not do; nor

‘You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, which if a man
does, he shall live by them: I am the LORD.
(6) ‘None of you
shall approach anyone who is near of kin to him, to uncover his
nakedness: I am the LORD. (7) ‘The nakedness of your father or the
nakedness of your mother you shall not uncover. She is your mother; you
shall not uncover her nakedness. (8) ‘The nakedness of your father’s
wife you shall not uncover; it is your father’s nakedness. (9) ‘The
nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter
of your mother, whether born at home or elsewhere, their nakedness you
shall not uncover. (10) ‘The nakedness of your son’s daughter or your
daughter’s daughter, their nakedness you shall not uncover; for theirs
is your own nakedness. (11) ‘The nakedness of your father’s wife’s
daughter, begotten by your father she is your sister you shall not
uncover her nakedness. (12) ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of
your father’s sister; she is near of kin to your father. (13) ‘You
shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, for she is
near of kin to your mother. (14) ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness
of your father’s brother. You shall not approach his wife; she is your
aunt. (15) ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law

brother’s nakedness. (17) ‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a
woman and her daughter, nor shall you take her son’s daughter or her
daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness. They are near of kin to
her. It is wickedness. (18) ‘Nor shall you take a woman as a rival to
her sister, to uncover her nakedness while the other is alive.
(19) ‘Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as
long as she is in her customary impurity. (20) ‘Moreover you shall not
lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, to defile yourself with her.
(21) ‘And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the
fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the
LORD. (22) ‘You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an
abomination. (23) ‘Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile
yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate
with it. It is perversion. (24) ‘Do not defile yourselves with any of
these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am
casting out before you. (25) ‘For the land is defiled; therefore I
visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out
its inhabitants. (26) ‘You shall therefore keep My statutes and My
judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any
of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (27) ‘(for all
these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you,
and thus the land is defiled), (28) ‘lest the land vomit you out also
when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you.
(29) ‘For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who
commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

Matthew 19:3-6 The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for just any reason?" 9) MEDITATION (NOT BY BLANKING OUT YOUR MIND) -
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Is There A Clear Biblical Mandate Against Abortion?
A Biblical Perspective on Abortion
180 Movie {video}
James 1:1-27 James, a bondservant of God and
of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered
abroad: Greetings.
( 2) My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
(3) knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. (4) But
let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and
complete, lacking nothing. (5) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask
of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be
given to him. (6) But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he
who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. (7)
For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the
Lord; (8) he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
(9) Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, (10) but the rich in
his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.
(11) For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it
withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance
perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
(12) Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised
to those who love Him. (13) Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am
tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself
tempt anyone. (14) But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his
own desires and enticed. (15) Then, when desire has conceived, it gives
birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
(16) Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. (17) Every good gift and
every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of
lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (18) Of
His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be
a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
(19) So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow
to speak, slow to wrath; (20) for the wrath of man does not produce the
righteousness of God.
(21) Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and
receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your
souls.
(22) But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving
yourselves. (23) For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer,
he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; (24) for he
observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man
he was. (25) But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and
continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work,
this one will be blessed in what he does.
(26) If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle
his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.
(27) Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to
visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself
unspotted from the world.

Romans 3:13-14 "Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit"; "The poison of asps is under their lips"; (14) "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."
1 Corinthians 12:4-11 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. (5) There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. (6) And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. (7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: (8) for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, (9) to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, (10) to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. (11) But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:27-30 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. (28) And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. (29) Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all workers of miracles? (30) Do all have gifts of healings? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?
1Cor 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying [serveth] not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. (9) For we know in part and we prophesy in part. (10) But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.

(19) "And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.

(20) "The LORD would not spare him; for then the anger of the LORD and His jealousy would burn against that man, and every curse that is written in this book would settle on him, and the LORD would blot out his name from under heaven. (21) "And the LORD would separate him from all the tribes of Israel for adversity, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this Book of the Law,
2 Corinthians 11:12-15 But what I do, I will also continue to do, that I may cut off the opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the things of which they boast. (13) For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. (14) And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. (15) Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.
1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, do not believe every
spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many
false prophets have gone out into the world. (2) By this you know the
Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come
in the flesh is of God, (3) and every spirit that does not confess that
Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the
spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now
already in the world.
(4) You are of God, little children, and
have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is
in the world. (5) They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the
world, and the world hears them. (6) We are of God. He who knows God
hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the
spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

(22) "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ (23) "And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, (9) not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2Tim 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Romans 10:2-4 For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. (3) For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. (4) For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Titus 3:3-5 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. (4) But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, (5) not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Psa 90:17 And let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
The False Christs and the True
15) FALSE CHRISTS -
Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Mark 13:21-22 "Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it. (22) "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
2 Corinthians 11:2-4 For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (3) But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (4) For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted you may well put up with it!
2 Thessalonians 2:9-11 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, (10) and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. (11) And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
Many believe that obedience is optional -
1 John 2:3-4 3
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He
who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar,
and the truth is not in him.
Most are pre-occupied with worldly things -
1 John 2:15-16 15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the
world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that [is] in
the world the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of
life is not of the Father but is of the world.
They refuse to examine their faith -
2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves [as to] whether you are in the faith. Test
yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?
unless indeed you are disqualified.
They live in sin without the conviction of sin -
1 John 3:7-8 7
Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness
is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil,
for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son
of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
John 16:8-11 "And when He (Holy Spirit) has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (9) "of sin, because they do not believe in Me; (10) "of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; (11) "of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
There's no peace in their salvation -
Isaiah 57:19
"I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace to [him who
is] far off and to [him who is] near," Says the LORD, "And I will heal
him."
John 14:27 "Peace I leave with you, My
peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not
your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
They rely on their rituals -
2 Kings 17:30-40 30
The men of Babylon made Succoth Benoth, the men of Cuth made Nergal,
the men of Hamath made Ashima, 31 and the Avites made Nibhaz and
Tartak; and the Sepharvites burned their children in fire to
Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim. 32 So they feared
the LORD, and from every class they appointed for themselves priests of
the high places, who sacrificed for them in the shrines of the high
places. 33 They feared the LORD, yet served their own gods according to
the rituals of the nations from among whom they were carried away.
34 To this day they continue practicing the former rituals; they do not
fear the LORD, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances,
or the law and commandment which the LORD had commanded the children of
Jacob, whom He named Israel, 35 with whom the LORD had made a covenant
and charged them, saying: "You shall not fear other gods, nor bow down
to them nor serve them nor sacrifice to them; 36 "but the LORD, who
brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an
outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him
you shall offer sacrifice. 37 "And the statutes, the ordinances, the
law, and the commandment which He wrote for you, you shall be careful
to observe forever; you shall not fear other gods. 38 "And the covenant
that I have made with you, you shall not forget, nor shall you fear
other gods. 39 "But the LORD your God you shall fear; and He will
deliver you from the hand of all your enemies." 40 However they did not obey, but they followed their former rituals.
Mark 7:8-9, 13 8
"For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men
the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do." 9
He said to them, "[All too] well you reject the commandment of God,
that you may keep your tradition.
13 "making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do."
Jeremiah 6:10-21 To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Indeed their ear is uncircumcised, And they cannot give heed. Behold, the word of the LORD is a reproach to them; They have no delight in it. (11) Therefore I am full of the fury of the LORD. I am weary of holding it in. "I will pour it out on the children outside, And on the assembly of young men together; For even the husband shall be taken with the wife, The aged with him who is full of days. (12) And their houses shall be turned over to others, Fields and wives together; For I will stretch out My hand Against the inhabitants of the land," says the LORD. (13) "Because from the least of them even to the greatest of them, Everyone is given to covetousness; And from the prophet even to the priest, Everyone deals falsely. (14) They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, 'Peace, peace!' When there is no peace. (15) Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No! They were not at all ashamed; Nor did they know how to blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; At the time I punish them, They shall be cast down," says the LORD. (16) Thus says the LORD: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.' (17) Also, I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, 'We will not listen.' (18) Therefore hear, you nations, And know, O congregation, what is among them. (19) Hear, O earth! Behold, I will certainly bring calamity on this people-- The fruit of their thoughts, Because they have not heeded My words Nor My law, but rejected it. (20) For what purpose to Me Comes frankincense from Sheba, And sweet cane from a far country? Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, Nor your sacrifices sweet to Me." (21) Therefore thus says the LORD: "Behold, I will lay stumbling blocks before this people, And the fathers and the sons together shall fall on them. The neighbor and his friend shall perish."
